Earlier this year we asked you for your thoughts on a NetHui theme and for some good keynote ideas. Thank you to everyone who shared your thoughts - it was very useful information.
We are pleased to announce we have finalised a theme for NetHui 2017 – “Trust and Freedom on the Internet.”
We think trust and security – paired with access to a free and open Internet – is the backbone to a great Internet and one that we can all use to open doors of opportunity.
These opportunities allow New Zealanders, from our home at the bottom of the globe, to connect with people around the world, innovate and create.
How do we build trust in the Internet? How do we promote and protect freedom online? Come along to NetHui 2017 to talk about the opportunities available and the challenges standing in our way.
Follow us on @NetHuiNZ and #NetHui2017 for more updates before the big event on 9-10 November 2017 at Aotea Centre in Auckland. We’ll also be hosting the NZ Internet Research Forum and other events the day before, on 8 November.
